A group of us went for a ride yesterday, Nasho, Mac Pass, Kangaroo Valley. It was a beautiful day, warm weather, clear skies, good road temp........everything was going perfectly antil after Kangaroo Valley.
One of the sled riders with us caught a nail just outside of kangaroo valley, so there we were, middle of nowhere and a sled with a flat (yamaha 650 classic).
After one of us tried to plug it, we found the air just kept pouring out.........then someone noticed it was tubed
, We were really stuck. One of the group took off up the road to find a servo, and found a harley dealership (not sure of the name), the guy at the harley dealers said he didn't have any way to pick the bike up or even a tube for that tyre....but he would call his mate at the local Yamaha dealer.
The guy at the Yamaha dealers argued with the Harley dealer and tried to tell him it was a tubeless tyre, so he ended up hanging up on him to try someone else....So we have some good service from the Harley dealer (thank you). Then the harley dealer calls "Dave Byrnes Kawasaki", well Jeff from Dave Burns drops what he's doing and drives out to pick up the bike and take it back to the shop, then when we get there we are confronted by the most friendly staff i have met anywhere in any business in my life.
While Jeff systematically pulled apart the Yamaha's shaft drive and put in a new tube as well as complelety cleaning the inside of the tyre, repairing that (after the damage done by the repair attempt) and got us back on the road. All this took 2 hours from start to finish including the drive time and i wont quote the price on here but let me say it was fixed for a price that was exceptional, we were offed cold drinks, shown around plenty of products (they sold all their tyre repair kits) and treated really well.
So thank you all at Dave Byrnes we all really apprecite your service and anyone down that way drop in.....you wont be dissapointed
