On my '91 ZXR the fuel outlets on the tank are only marked yellow and white not normal and reserve, is the yellow one the reserve? Can I tell from where they are on the tank?
I wanna put my new fuel tap in but I don't wanna cock up connecting the hoses.

What can go wrong really?? Get it wrong and you find you have no reserve, no major drama really

A good mate will bail you out of jail, a true mate will be sitting in the cell next to you saying "Damn, we fucked up!!!"
Re: Fuel Outlets - Yellow vs. White
I'm thinking yellow could be reserve and white the normal outlet, the hoses I got with my new fuel tap might give me some indication they're factory hoses and they might be pre bent to attach to the right ones. I can only hope. Alternately does anyone have a manual for the 'J and can tell me which is which, I think they're aligned so that one is more towards the centre of the tank or they could be front and back ones, can't remember where they go in.

For future reference (mainly mine
) the inboard one is on and the outboard is reserve.
