A sad goodbye......

Hey everyone.
It should be a happy day for me today, but it is with great sadness that I announce the departure of the ER6f.
After a very happy 'year and a bit' together, and after the recent modifications we are parting company.
I have traded her for a GSXR600.
Of the forums that I post on this one has been my favourite by a long way, and I am very sad to no longer be a Kawasaki rider.
Jonno and I hope to buy another Kawasaki in the next year or two to tour on, so I hope I will be welcome again.
Thanks to you all for your friendship, advice and support.

G banger pics (on chicks) rare higher than almost anything

we have a few malcontents here that ride things other than Kwaka. Why the change might I ask? Seemed like you and the ER6-f were fairly happy together...

Thank you everyone- although I would like to think I was welcome here for more than my butt!
There WILL be another Kwaka in our stable in the near future if all goes according to plan.
I blinged up the ER because I was getting a little bored with it. I made the decision to keep it and modify it rather than trade it in a few months ago.
A few weeks ago I went on a ride with some people and a friend got me riding her GSXR600. From the second I got on it was a whole new experience. (Bear in mind I have only owned a ZZR250 and the ER.) The gear changes were magic, the cornering was unbelievable- I felt like I was part of the bike. My first ride on the Gixxer and I was blasting along at WAY faster than I had ever ridden the ER. It wasn't the speed though- it was how good I felt on the bike.
The next day I went looking, and deliberated (painfully) for a couple of weeks. The 2007 Gixxer is running out at $13,990 on road at the moment. Yesterday I went into the bike shop to get a trade-in price on the ER. In my mind I had decided that if they gave me $7000 change-over I would have to defect to Suzuki. I walked out with $6700 changeover ($7300 I got for the Kwaka- I believe they are going for around $10,000 new.)
So there you have it- temptation won out. Now the ongoing task of keeping my riding within my skill level, and learning to ride better not faster.
I will still be here, so it is goodbye to the ER - not to KSRC or my love of Kawasakis.

Sorta makes sense but did you test ride a 636?

I have owned gixxers before... before & yes they are a good bike for stunting
