Perhaps pose hypothetical questions to them to find out what the level of coverage would be.

I went with them, they seem kosher, for mariginally more than I was paying for 3rd Party Property Theft and Fire I now have full comprehensive at agreed value, probably because they cover so many their costs are alleviated over a bigger population. Will only know how good when I have to make a claim but hopefully that day will never come, but at least I am saving money in the long run. Had a mate who used a european broker for coverage of his BMW same thing the premiums were hugely less than anyone else was offering and they look OK. :D :D

Ive gone with them. Saved heaps, even cheaper than Shannons & loads cheaper than NRMA.
Disclaimer is the same as the rest. Cant see any problems yet.

Kazz downloaded the product disclosure and page 11 E6 states there is no cover under section 1 for the insured motorcycle unless it is stolen from a locked private garage and not recovered,or entirely destroyed by fire whilst parked in a locked private garage.cover under section 1 is also limited to $10,000 .So the way i read that is if u get your bike stolen on the street stiff tittys :shock:Also E5 No cover under section 1 for theft or attempted theft  unless an approved antitheft device is fitted by approved manufacturer or installer. We will decide which anti theft devices are approved. 8)

If cheap stuff is the way to go, why isn't everyone riding a Hyosung (couldn't think of a dodgier brand but I'm sure there are some).

I honeslty think you need to balance "wasting money" versus "you get what you pay for" and go with a well-known name in the local market. Obviously paying ten times the price is ridiculous, but if it's too good to be true then there is a trap somewhere - be it in the wording, the service, the repair jobs, features & benefits, etc.

I think you'll find that these guys are a DOFI and as such not required to meet the same financial requirements as fully licensed local insurers... meaning you could be insuring with someone who hasn't got enough money to pay out in the event of a major incident (eg. a Sydney-wide storm or flood where they lose 500 bikes)

Had a look at this mob myself and as has been said it looks to good to be true, QBE $680 for $13,000, Insure my Ride (AAMI) $544.0 for Market value and e-bike $441.0 for $13,000 + $2000 riding gear + $4,000 for mods and about to say YES and noticed the little asterisk next to excess $400 so clicked on it and saw that STANDARD EXCESS is $1,050.0 and VOLUNTARY excess is $400, looks ok if everything goes well but if it turns to shit its going to be costly.

Neka's right..at least 4 times before...or does it just seem that way??

Anyhow, I think this mob is underwritten by an offshore mob, and after a brief discussion with...ACCC(? - can't remember) there is basically no one to go to if you are unsatisfied with their service, such as they refuse to payout a legit claim.

I reckon it's time for an insurance sticky, basically those that provide insurance and their contact details. Age old adage isn;t it, "If it looks too good to be true, it probably is".

Neka, Ssangyong gotta be dodgier than Hyosung I reckon :D Probably marginal but..

Yep its to good to be true. Had a really good look at the disclosure and its bad. Cancelled it and went with Shannons.
Shannons was only a couple hundred more, but its been tried and tested. So that's who I went with.
