Thanks Mick.
I used Babel fish to send a message to the seller. I truly hope that it correctly translates :D
"Hello. I am in Australia and wonder if you could ship this item to me. Can you please give a price? Do you speak English? My Italian is very poor.
Thank You
Adrian"

This is what it generated.
"Ciao. Sono in Australia e mi domando se poteste spedire questo articolo a me. Potete dare prego un prezzo? Parlate inglese? Il mio italiano è molto povero. Grazie Adrian"

But when I reversed the babelfish thingo to re-interpret it to english it read like a Chinese instruction manual.
"Hello. They are in Australia and I wonder if you could send this article to me. You can give I pray a price? Speeches English? My Italian is much poor one. Adrian Thanks"

Or Holland or Belgium and probably the Dutch East Indies amonst other places Aardy :D The Dutch were like the poms, Portugese and Spanish, hell bent on sailing the world and conquering nations for their empire once upon a time so I reckon Africaans is around a bit more than you might think :D
