I'm sure this has been said before but the nine truly is an exceptional machine
I have a 50km trip each way to work every day half of witch is twisty back roads that few people use

and the rest being hyway so I'm pretty blessed as i get to have a fang twice a day

but living in tas it can sometimes get a bit nasty weather wise.
So back to the point, tonite I leave work it's dark, pissing down , windy , slippery as anything and I have a near bald back tire( legal but just) and half my trip ( through previously mentioned twisties ) I have to contend with the native wildlife and wayward 4WD's

and the nine did it easy didn't put a foot wrong gave me absolute confidence and got me home without a moments hesitation. Somethings gota be said for a bike that is capable of keeping up with just about anything at a track yet can take you home in compleate confindace in apalling conditions.
U just gota love the nine

The nine is the top of my list for my next bike. I rode an '03 R1 recently, and while it was good, I just didn't like it much. I rode a '98 nine and felt at home the second I took off. Great bike. Probably not as quick as an R1 but a MUCH better road bike. The incredible thing is that you see the C model nines for sale around $5k!

I might buy two with the proceeds of my ZZR sale. One track, one road.

Most underated bike outside of KSRC i recon. I've ridden about 7 different Nines & all delight in one way or another. The F models were faster over the 1/4 mile then the other 3 litre bikes & actually had a higher top speed as well. Plus you can ride it like a "Clusterphuck giant white condom" all day & come back the next day for another go.
Ya gotta luv the 9.
But the "Crim's" aren't Dull

I did enjoy riding Stace's 9 around here for those few days - it gave me some idea about why people love 'em so much...
But my lard-arse needs a 12 under it......

Well you sampled what is perhaps the worst of all the 9's ever produced the "B"! It was heavy, top heavy and had the swingarm pivot in a totally wrong place which causes it to spin up rather than drive off turns! Lose 35kg's add a few more ponies, better brakes and an even more comfy ride possy and you have yourslf a C,E or F model.....and yeah, they are awesome!!

That 9 you rode would weigh as much as your land barge poofblinged ZX12!!!!!
