Don't forget folks it's NSW double demerit's this weekend from Midnight Thursday to Midnight Monday.

Yes speed kills but it kills you even deader on a public holiday. That is the only reason I can think of for the double demerit points. I know it has nothing to do with revenue raising.
Before you say points don't equal revenue those that are not in NSW can not imagine how the high way patrol can suddenly find so many more cars to put on the road and all like to hide some where to trap unsuspecting motorists.
