I just thought I'd ride over to Epping Plaza shopping centre to pick up a few things for xmas.

As I rode carefully out onto high st. from car park to go to Hi Fi Warehouse, left lane of 2 turning lanes, raining slightly so careful on painted white lines as ya do then easing gently up the road... then.... Farrrk Me Dead if a farrking cage lane spilts me between me in left hand side of left lane and another cage in right lane....

I swore that loudly I think I burst an ear drum... I rode up next to the farker at the next stop and gave him the worst spray of all time... he dead set shat himself...

WHAT A FARKIN WANKER... We try to ride safe only to have the pricks do that...

SIllyness aside. That happened to me once, similar situation. i drove at 40km/h (in a 90 zone) in front of the guy for the next 10km. if he was in a hurry, i just made him late, then maybe he'd learn. I know we do it to cages but its less dangerous for us then it is for them. makes you wonder whether he actually saw you. good on you for giving him a verbal lashing, i would have wanted to give him more than that but.

Glad you were awake mate n come home in one piece. I am actually getting much better at this, last week a newish Bmw pulled into the servo immediately after a roundabout without indicating his intensions I was able to stop in time but it gave me a wake up call. Since i was going THAT slow anyway i followed him into the servo and sat 10 feet back to his right hand side as he parked. He got out looked at me as i was looking straight at him, i said
"Excuse me mate you know that stick thing beside the round thing you hang onto in the car", he went
"um the blinker ?". I replyed
"Yeah mate thats it ... thats for MY benefit not yours, you wanna give it a whirl next time you enter a driveway, & I'll try not to think all bmw drivers are wankers". He gave me a blank look so i selected first and departed with a "Yeah thanks mate seeya".
Felt very happy with myself for not losing my cool or letting him get away with being an arse.

oh & on another point...rode to town today to look for lainey bday pres (i
kno, as if getting to touch my body isnt already way too much for one
girl!!)..and it PISSES down bucket loads....
so ne way im on the way home, lane splitting thru traffic an shit, i get to
the front of the line....i realise im parked with back wheel on centre line
(i hate white lines)...
light goes green, i lean forward, ease it on a bit, think "im clear of the
white line " and start to open it...it revs, it goes sideways, it doesnt go
forward....i hit the other white line that indicates where to pull
up..SHHEEEEET myself, backed off, kept it upright,nearly got run over, then
took off in a god awful hurry...careful of them white lines guys!!

Yeah but this way they realised they fucked up without
a) disabling their already pathetic awareness of other traffic
b) you (and the general biking community) looking like an
arsehole for mashing their mirror, or them getting the cops
onto you with a criminal damage charge.

Yeah it may be fun to smash shit, but taking the high road in situations like this, especially
if you've got a cutting and to the point retort to whatever they say has gotta feel way
more satisfying. And trust me, they do feel like cretins if they have any sembelence of
a brain in their noggin.

I've had one try and pass me on the left side on a single lane road while I was riding . Farking spat it at her and I doubt she'll ever try that move again
