So i was at Plas' place and he shows me his Nitro Truck...then he shows me how it goes..and Stops!!

so we toddle off down to the hobby shop..and he made me buy one....

so i play about running it in around his yard and street, then we go down the nearby school to stretch its legs a little... all run in now...

so we go to a bmx track today.... hmm burms are meant to help u corner faster...but they make for awesome jumps without a landing pad..i had this thing screaming thru the air...we was impressed!!

also ripped a couple of laps of the track (well sections anyway) and boy was it fun!!

Ive always wanted a cool remote control car...now i see what all the fuss is about.... next time we will get pics/videos...i only destroyed the hood and the mounting points..a good effort really!!

welcome to the world of nitro cars

every time you run them = broken parts and some more money to spend.

good thing is parts aren't that dear!

I used to have a Kyosho Landmax (super 1/8th scale = snick under 2ft long with body) shaft driven AWD 3.5cc (wrx bodied) nitro car, it was good fun but they are not cheap and they do break a bit :( I also found that nearly all of the 'optional' parts.. seem to end up being required one way or another. (ie. originals are just pure crap or break)

I went through 3 pull-starters in only a very short time because they kept breaking, either the plastic would snap or the cord rubbing through.

My setup cost me easy over $1k in the time I had it, sold it all for $280 i think :?

The landmax was a decent package for hobby use though, you cannot compete with it as it does not fit into any class but the built in shields meant it could run onroad or offroad in wet or dry .. used to love getting it out in the rain for full awd rally style drifting.

Enjoy your new toy! :)
