well, not really in this application. The supercharger spins in a 'fore and aft' plane, not a 'lateral' plane. (ie it spins, probably forwards in relation to the rest of the bike ). This would have more of an effect on acceleration and braking than it would on cornering. To effect the cornering, it would have to be spinning either clockwise or anticlockwise, when viewed from above the bike - a Moto Guzzi has some of this 'lateral' flywheel effect, very noticeable when you blip the throttle at idle.....Stereo wrote:Uhm... 1. Centifical force caused by a supercharger would cause it to corner very very well one way and very very badly the other way
yea ..but anyone can buy a 1200cc bike..to build a 1 of a kind, vtwin supercharged bike..thats cool...Kwakka Kilt wrote: Top Marks for Engineering effort I reckon, but I agree that you can get more power cheaper if you just go BIG BORE !!![]()
oh its not a cup of tea, its a supercharger!!mrgoof wrote:It's a neat custom, but not my cup of tea
I totally agree Neka, in one of my mags I have got a bloke who slapped a teenie weenie turbo onto a 250, revved to 18,000, imagine that : Waaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! Phssssssstt Waaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! Phssssssstt ...... and so on.Neka79 wrote:yea ..but anyone can buy a 1200cc bike..to build a 1 of a kind, vtwin supercharged bike..thats cool...Kwakka Kilt wrote: Top Marks for Engineering effort I reckon, but I agree that you can get more power cheaper if you just go BIG BORE !!![]()
yea...carbs until abt the 03 zx6r i reckon.....Kwakka Kilt wrote:I totally agree Neka, in one of my mags I have got a bloke who slapped a teenie weenie turbo onto a 250, revved to 18,000, imagine that : Waaaaaaaaaaaaa !!! The bike ran carbies and no intercooler, must have been a bugger to setup fuelling![]()
I reckon the perfect bike for turbo applications and lightness (So you can actually do the twisties, unlike a Busa), I would love a turbo Triumph triple, the new 675 Daytona would rock my world (But am still a Kwakka guy mostly)
I am a shortarse, and will never have cash for a new bike, am wondering what the earliest vintage of Kawasaki sportsbike (Like a 600, maybe a 750), has fuel injection ? Much easier to modify for Turbo Applications ..... All the ZXR750's and ZX6's are carbs I think ?
Ah well Neka, there goes my budget turbo bike (For a Kwaka at least) - Later down the track, I think I could get a T595 Trumpy, (Scandalous I know), they turbo nicely, run a piggy back ECU, not too expensive .... Blow through systems have too many issues to work though, like intercooling, never mind the fuelling setup ....yea...carbs until abt the 03 zx6r i reckon.....
the z1000 uses a zx9r motor.... but with EFI..hence *maybe* the EFI system can be fitted to say a 99 type zx9r??Kwakka Kilt wrote:Ah well Neka, there goes my budget turbo bike (For a Kwaka at least) - Later down the track, I think I could get a T595 Trumpy, (Scandalous I know), they turbo nicely, run a piggy back ECU, not too expensive .... Actually, I believe the 02 was also carborated, thats the old shape.Kwakka Kilt wrote:Ah well Neka, there goes my budget turbo bike (For a Kwaka at least) - Later down the track, I think I could get a T595 Trumpy, (Scandalous I know), they turbo nicely, run a piggy back ECU, not too expensive ....
