Hey guys, i've used degreaser, big kevs goo remover and god knows what else (including a soaking with prepsol) but i CANNOT remove the slight glimmer of the for sale sticker the past owner slapped on the front screen of the RF. Has anyone else had much luck with using a cut & polish on plastic such as a clear screen to at least try and reduce the quantity of shadowing from the (long since gone) sticker on the screen?

i wouldnt put cutting compound on it.

but i wouldnt hesitate to whach some good polish in it.

i actually used autosol on my speedo face where the jerry can scratched it at the track.

after the autosol i used mcquires "fully sik slippery shiny sexy wet0look" polish on it.
i use it on everything.

Toothpaste. Works surprisingly well on plastic.

the white stuff ro the blue stuff?

im assuming the white stuff cos it has more abrasive stuff in it?

I used to use a liquid cut and polish on the headlights on my Skyline. The lights on R33s tend to get a bit of buildup on them and the best way i found to clean them was with a good rub of cut and polish. They were plastic...

well i have no issue with painting the screen until i find a new screen to repaint it if i arse it up.

I was thinking the toothpaste thing, i have a tube of some shit south african colgate i got from a $2 shop (seriously it tastes like soap), used it the once. Might get an old dishwashing sponge and put a huge gob of it on it and go to town on the screen afterwards.

toothpaste is a good option...........but the bad news is that if the 'For Sale' sign was on the bike and out in the sun for some considerable time, the 'shadow' may well be almost impossible to remove.....good luck though mate.

Cleans stick shit off qhick smart and is none abrasive

Autosol if its not too bad(still hard work tho) and then a good polish seemed to work on the old 7.'
