Did a search, the term comes up with 13 pages of crap and I can't be fucked searching through it all. Given we have a fair representation in the ACT I figured if anyone here should know about winter gloves it should be the HCCC so any recommendations?
I just bought a new pair prior to lizzy's birthday for the 3 day run around the Snowys and frankly, they didn't cut it...

Mick
either get a serious set of winter gloves
like DriRiders Highlanders or similar
or use an inner (I have a set of silk inners)
under a decent normal glove

Have come to the conclusion the last couple of mornings that the only thing that is going to make a big difference on mornings like we've had lately is heated hand grips.
And probably cheaper than a good set of winter gloves?

Mick - these are the *exact* gloves I use up here on cold days. They are excellent winter gloves.
If its *really* cold, then I wear the Damart inners inside the Highlanders...........by cold days I mean anything between 0 and -5 or lower........throw in a wind-chill factor and you get the idea.....

Heated handgrips are the way to go!
Don't get the Rivet ones - they're shit in anything below about 5 degrees. I had the Oxford ones on my ER, cost about $140.00, and they were just awesome, even with my crappy gloves!

Go the heated grips Mick. After much stuffing around and 4 dodgy switches later, it seems that Oxford has changed the switch design to one that doesn't have a knob THAT FALLS OUT. The new switch is much better.
Cost about $116 from Race Rep if I remember correctly.
There's no such thing as a winter glove that will actually keep your hands warm for any length of time.
Heated grips are ace, I don't care how sissy it is

oxford make 2 types of heated handgrips, price from $110 - $130 at bikebiz online.
I did look at some overgloves from NZ, they're a mitten type with a thumb and index finger, but I'm tuff so I'll stick to my glove liners.
