Kiwi at the TT

New Zealand's Bruce Anstey annhialiated the opposition in today's Superstock TT by winning the race and setting a new lap record into the bargain. Bruce, who was aboard a GSX-R1000K7, went full bore from the start, pulling out an astounding 12 second lead after lap one and went on to double the gap by the end of lap two. The Kiwi also set a new lap record for the Superstock class, too.
John McGuinness, who breezed to victory in yesterday's Superbike race, had to make do with 2nd place on the rostrum, while John's HM Plant Honda team mate, Ian Hutchinson, settled for third. It seemed neither of the two Fireblade-mounted riders could match Anstey's Suzuki blistering pace.

Winner - Bruce Anstey [Relentless Suzuki] 1 hour 11 minutes 56.29sec
2nd - John McGuinness [Honda] +40 sec
3rd - Ian Hutchinson [Honda] +22 sec
New Class Lap Record - Bruce Anstey 128.400mph [17 minutes 37.85 sec]
Race Average Record - Bruce Anstey 125.875mph
Always good to see antipodeans doing well.

128.4 on a superstock
conditions must be getting better.
at this rate the 130mph barrier could go in the senior
also will be interesting to see how fast the supersports can go - and if johnny mac can get another victory

Ragging it through the corners ... Molyneux and Long
DAVE Molyneux notched up his 12th TT win yesterday by clinching the opening F2 sidecar race in dramatic style, despite some problems with the HM Plant Honda outfit.
Partnered by Rick Long, Molyneux, who had a bad accident at last year's TT, managed to grind away at John Holden's 12-second lead, eventually winning at an average speed of over 111mph. Holden had to settle for 2nd place at the finish line. Molyneux said of his victory:
"I can't believe it. The bike wasn't performing as well as normal. It wasn't as quick as the others on the straights but I managed to make up for it by ragging it through the corners.
"I owe a big thanks to the team and my passenger. It's a dream winning after the bad smash I had last year and I'd like to say a big thanks to the surgeon that operated on my right shoulder - I wouldn't have won without it."
The pairing of Steve Norbury and Scott Parnell finished a solid third, giving the Yorkshireman his 7th successive TT rostrum.

Glad to hear
his bike failed him in the Superbike race, so good to see he's had a great result.
If it's dry I'd say they'll break the 130mph barrier on Friday

He blitzed the 1000cc class on a 600

Dunno... I got mine from a friend of mine (who was winning the race until his suspension started playing up).

Good on Mcguinness for running that lap but love to have seen what Anstey would have done if he didnt have problems with his superbike in both races as he ran a 128.4 on his superstock bike.

anyone heard how shaun harris is ? was was critical in hospital last time i heard.

I saw this on a british site, not up to date but gives you an idea.
Shaun has a broken right arm,
two broken legs, broke pelvis and some missing teeth.
He's in a medical induced coma and due to come out of coma on Friday.
Good news is that there is no sign of any brain or head injury so that's encouraging.
