Hi guys. i'm try to find a service and part manual for my 2000 zx12r.

i have had no luck locating it in the forum.. please help.

or even better tell me where the battery sits on this bike.

inside the frame.....the cover is on the RH side of the frame.

check out this site for some detailed info on the 12 - its a model-specific site.........

Good chance of getting a service manual online or off ebay, always plenty around for the early 12's. But a parts manual might be a little more difficult.

got my full workshop manual for 05 zx12r off ebay delivered to my door for $12.50 and its got the works

Thanks for the advice on wher to go and wher to start looking as well.

i have the done job now, but gees what a tasks as well.

they have to make it easier surely.

what sort of problems did you have mate ?? I haven't taken the battery out yet, would be nice to know what the issues are if I ever need to..

taking the battery out on a 12 is like having a wank a lot of effort for very little satisfaction. youcan do it by lifting the tank cover then pulling the side cover off and flexing your fairing but if your not keen on the flex you have to pull the rightside fairing off, as you can see very much like wanking a lot of pulling no satisfaction :) :)

rumbles yolu hit the nail on the head... what a waste of effort for so little gain... kawasaki should re think that issue.

BTW whats is the zx12r ozzie forums website.

Yeah due to lack of interest it was eventually closed.
AndyZX (formerly DrBlackbird) updated from a BB to a 12 and requested a website for the 12R, It was run by his mate and the owner of the BlackBird forum or busa forum whatever club here in Oz.

We had a quite a few members and unfortunately we lost a lot of info posted on that site.
