I'm calling my first child "crash"

Thank god for Oggys. I've just joined Team Crashed '07 :(

On the up side, the crash took the brunt of the fall and saved me some major fairing damage. And I only have a grazed knee, pulled muscles and am stiff and sore - could've been much worse considering when it all stopped moving there was a car tyre three inches from my face.

On the down side, my gorgeous, perfect, shiny Genki is not so shiny right now. Or genki, for that matter. Still, it's rideable, and the damage is minimal and cosmetic.

The driver pulled out of his stopped bumper-to-bumper lane, right into me. Ran me off the road, my front tyre bit on the edge of the road, just as his car hit me and down I went, under the front of the car. Could've been much worse, so I'm pretty lucky overall.

It had to happen - the OPH regulars know that I had it coming, considering the amount of bagging I've dished up to Dave #3 and his offs / write-offs. So far, he has refrained from doing the "I told you so" dance, but it can't be far off...

Mate, glad your still upright and able to laugh at yourself, bikes are easily fixed or replaced, humans are more difficult.

I'm sure Dave is just selecting his best material, you'll hear it soon (and often).

Good luck with sorting it out.

Cath, I am happy to see that other than being stiff and sore, you are ok! It sounds as though you could be in much worse shape. Heal up soon, and I hope the damage to the bike isn't too bad.

Any witnesses who can help you out with your insurance claim?
