Isn't this one of those PR excercises where they exagerate the figures to make everybody slow down? I'm sure it's exactly what they did when the put the new cameras on the Princes Freeway West of Melbourne.

I like the way they added the bit about the Burnley tunnel with no obvious link to the rest of the story other than it was a tunnel
