Hey guys
Just a quick question..... If I fix the engine out of my flat zxr400, would it fit in a ZXR250 body?? And if so, would it need to be engineered or something? would that be costly? See i liked the performance of the 400 and the body didnt really seem to be that much bigger than the 250
Any help greatly appreciated

Anything will fit into anything.
All you need is a shoe-horn and some KY..

I wanted to do the same to my 250 when the engine died but was told that the frame of the 250 is narrower and the 400 motor won't fit. You'd have to measure the gap between the rails and also check how they mount up.

Ponti would be the bloke to talk to about that he has a 250 floating about his place in a wheelbarrow and the lovely anglekat has a 400 she rides sometimes.

No chance, unfortunately. The two bikes are completely different, layout-wise. The ZXR250 has a slant cylinder block. The engine is underslung, with the frame beams running right over the top of it. The 400, as you know, is more conventional. The block is more upright, and the frame beams wrap around the engine.
