Can anyone in melbourne weld something for me?

Hi guys, can anyone help me out? The gear foot lever on the track bike was damaged a long time ago and whoever fixed it did a shoddy job... its actually perfectly rideable but the requirement is that the lever is one piece.... at the moment it is a bolt running through the end of the lever... Was hoping someone in melbourne could weld the bolt onto the rest of the peg.... Im hoping for someone with some welding knowledge because the two pieces are of a diffent type of material (one is stainless steel and the other looks like cast alloy or something)...

Check the wreckers Mate , a couple of phone calls and you may end up with a solid second hand one .
Some of the alloys don't weld very well at all due to porosity and impurities in them , especially cast alloy .

what you are after won't be easy....
stainless to aluminium won't be pretty

You don't have time for that Mario.... BRACKETS...
BTW, while we are on this topic, I need to get the threaded tube that goes onto the bottom of my swingarm to take the race stand pick ups welded back on... How hard is that.?
I didn't really want to take the swingarm of to do it..

First off Dave I got some 25mmx3mm S Steel flat today for your brackets and when my wife prints out those drawing tonight for me I can get started .
Your swing are should just be aluminium so you just need someone up there with a tig to weld them back on, why are they cut off ?, just make sure you disconect all your electrics before welding.
If you took the swingarm off it will be a neater job instead of trying to weld overhead.
