The whole "ruins it for everybody" factor is the key thing here, yes i got nabbed for speeding (a lot over the limit), but im paying my pennance now and as little as i see wrong with the where and when with my doing it, i'll be hesitant in doing it again like that.
I guess when it comes down to it, the big difference is im not doing mono's through f*ing cameras, which can be used against not just me, but riders in general.

No probs with ppl speeding and carrying on, we all do it.
Theres is as much chance as getting caught doing that on your bike or in your car, but taking advantage of the fact there is no front ID on bikes and intentionally doing it in front of camera on numerous occasions is asking for attention.
This is the sort of thing that has the police, Gov and RTA calling for front number plates, electronic tags or other ID implementations.
So if you think this guy is cool, just wait for the backlash when his stupidity affects us all...
Its just more amunition against bikers.!!

they should string the pr***s up, i hope they get these bastards.
When i saw the story on the news, first thing i thought of is the amount of cops about to come after sportbikers in ALL states because of this. The public outcry over why we can't be pictured is just about to start.....i think we're sunk.
Stunting is for the right place and time, just like fast riding....take it to the track.
The public view of bikers is already shot to shit. We get filthy looks, abuse, and are instantly to blame for any accident that occurs between a car and a bike simply because we are on a bike (we must have been riding dangerously). Up until this point i think we could say we are hard done by, but with wankers like this publicly speaking for the rest of us we really have nowhere to go with our defense.

I do wonder though what the motivation for releasing these photos is. I remember the shots quite a few years back that caused a bit of outrage of the guy giving the finger to a speed camera at 240km/h (with his throttle hand), so it's nothing new. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if it happens fairly regularly...so why release the photos now? Maybe cos this time they managed to catch the buggers?
