I watched Mal Campbell race the Hunwick Hallam at Oran Park back in the mid-90's. It was very fast. He was racing it during the Shell Superbikes series.SnypR wrote:l saw that Hunwick/Hallam bike at Winton years ago, sounded better than a Duke and went better than the Jap bikes....
Bad timing more than anything and a few people issues. Timing mainly though. In order to go mass production, they needed capital. And loads of it. So the only way was to float the company. just prior to the float, the stock market crashed! the project was iced and remains that way. The issues with reviving it now are large, as the entire thing would have to be re-engineered with future ADR requirements in place. As such without the continual developement it's a white Elephant now!Gosling1 wrote:It was a motor that Rod Hunwick built from scratch......with help from the Hallam boys........their own design, it is a shame that the expected road-based model was never released on the market......
