But traffic police believe that by building a database, they can stop the worst offenders on the M1 from causing more accidents...

...They will be stopped. We will have all their details."
Big Brother. Coming soon to a road near you.

335km/h?? geez these boys should be riding in sbk/moto gp...

ya see, they hear that Caparossi/Stoner can do 320kph+ and instantly our road bikes can do over 300kph.... nice beat up that is...

Nothing new here. Sunday Mail always runs these sort of story, all alarmist froth and bubble. Sunday papers have to run stories like this, because they don't have much time to put in timely stories of real news. Stories about rental crisis, water wasters, property booms and busts, used car ripoffs and hooning motorcyclists are all grist for the mill.

Notice the story is not about an event or anything that has actually happened, beyond a couple of anecdotes from the coppers. Also not many stats about how many motorcycle accidents there are at 335kph, but its a eye catching number. You put that number in front of cagers who can't relate to anything close to that speed it gets attention and sells papers to those who prefer to have other people do their thinking for them.

I'm not saying that 300kph isn't dangerous, just commenting on the Sunday journalism and why its not worth buying papers on a Sunday.

they should just head straight to smitty's place and book him, he's got an unrestrected one hasnt he

what a load of junk journalism, im with mojo on this one...what a buch on wankers and the last paragraph sums it all up really.

"We've had seven people killed in road fatalities on the Gold Coast so far this year, and four of those seven have been motorcyclists," Insp Biggin said, adding that those killed were not necessarily breaking the law.

Just don't ride a shiny bike they go way faster than the dirty ones and if your bike is shiny there is a strong possibility you also waste water.

What a heap of crap. As if the copper was chasing a guy at 280-290 on a BMW/Honda ST. And the cop in the photo is only wearing a shirt yet they bang on about wearing the right gear. Hypocrites.
