WorldSBK.tv website rant

I'm not generally one to rant, but after my recent experiences with the WorldSBK.tv website I thought some of you might stand to gain from my experience, so here goes.

I signed up the WorldSBK.tv website to watch the SBK racing, strangely enough. I noted during the sign-up process point 14 of their terms and conditions which says "Full Race Highlights are not available within Australia." I foolishly assumed that highlights had something to do with highlights, and didn't actually mean that you can't see the fucking race, only the delayed 20 minute highlights package.

Fortunately, once I paid my money, logged in and tried to view a race I came to understand that Full Race Highlights are actually races, and that by virtue of being located in Australia I was unable to view races. I was covered, though, because point 3 in the above T's & C's said that "If you cancel within a period of 8 working days, starting on the day you are first entitled to access the Services (ie the day you first received access to the FG SPORT FG Sport TV subscription product - not subsequent subscription periods) you will receive a refund of the amount you have paid for the Services. Refunds will only be made to the debit/credit card originally used for payment".

This should be easy I thought to myself - it's a shame that you need to sign-up to find out the full truth, but at least the experience will only cost me a few dollars in foreign currency exchange fees, and I can live with that.

Strangely, though, they were not as quick to refund my hard-earned as they were to take it. After 3 e-mails over the last 6 or so weeks I decided to let the ANZ cardholder dispute folks do their thing, and opened a case with them. As a courtesy to the good people at WorldSBK.tv I informed them of the ANZ's involvement, and actually received a response. It's a miracle, there is somebody alive there!!!

It's not for me to pass judgement on how arrogant and rude this response is, as that may border on libel, so I'll simply post word for word what was said:
WorldSBK.tv Representative wrote:Dear David,

Thank you for contacting us.

We have cancelled you account and authorised a refund. This may take
14 days to reach your account via NetBanx.

We trust that in future you will not let your enthusiasm and hopes
override the need to read the instructions and face reality.
Best Regards,

Please make up your own minds about how you'd interpret this, and remember not to be slanderous in any replies lest our dedicated admins need to edit them to protect the guilty :)
Should anybody ask my opinion, of course, I would suggest that everybody give these arrogant turds a very wide berth regardless of where on this blue earth you happen to reside ... IMnsHO

What a fucking load of shit. Can't watch the races!?!?!?! What the hell would you sign up for? There's no tech reason why they couldn't stream the races to a particular country, it must be some licensing barney.

The MotoGP website streams the races beautifully.

Toss pots. Their website sucks arse too.
