Try a bit of Jif on a brush dipped in water,if that doesn't work then WD40 and a toothbrush.

Mild solvent in the WD eats the toothbrush so be quick

Cutting paste, one thats not to abrasive.......scratch and swirl remover grade will nail it

When they are as clean as poss a good coat of hard wax to seal and protect.

WD40 is my choice.

Shellite or white spirit for brake dust and chainlube, or WD40. dont spend big amounts of money on "specialty" cleaners. Use dishwashing liquid instead of car / bike wash. Mr sheene to polish. If a cleaning product costs more than $5 your wasting your money.

WD40 on a rag. I do this before I clean the bike (weekly). After clean go for short ride to dry out rad. On return chain is warn, it gets lubed and another wd40 rag to catch any flick off. Mr Sheen is very good at returning the luster wd40 seems to dull.
