hey alicia,
only sorta new so can't really say i missed you. shame to hear about the off tho, hope you're not too badly beat up.
Only advice to expect would be to HTFU, but at least your still thinking about getting back on thats the main thing.

Glad to hear you are still around... as for the advise, just get on it again take it easy until you regain your "non-chicken status."
AKA HTFU

Just take it nice and slow until your confidence returns.....it can take a long, long time until you get back to race speed
Just so you know that you are not alone......... I had a big off way back in 1977 and still don't like left handers as much as right

Did I miss something?
Hey chicky hope you are healing ok.... not good news there!
Did you find any other klub members up there? sounds like you need to go for a ride in company of others to bring back the confidense + might be able to help you out with fixing your mental block?
How do you break the oil sight glass? did the bike end up in the gutter?

G'day Chikky, sorry to hear about your off. When you've got the bike back in shape again, just take it easy and do short rides but frequently. Start off doing 1/2 hour stints close to home every day and then gradually increase the time and distance until your confident again.
Analyse what happened and work out what you could have done to prevent it. Revisit some of your road craft stuff and maybe even consider some more training. It all helps.
Good luck with it.

Welcome back. Like others said, little by little. Try and rise with someone you trust, but know you have to nudge the boundries to make progress. Track days are another good place to improve your confidence without the risk of cages.
Hope it all comes back to you and you heal quick.

Umm MIke normally the females aren't doing the rising... good luck on it Chicky, as everyone else says take it easy, little by little.
And yeah we missed ya, everryone else can type semi proper so the English/Grammar lessons here took a nosedive in your absence

welcome back hope ur injuries are healing and think of it this way... it could have been worse!

quote the Man from Snowy River:
"what's the first thing you do when a horse bucks you off?"
"you don't let him beat you, you get straight back on"
TRANSLATION: HTFU!!!
start by getting back on, and just go where you are comfortable.

All scars heal with time..... Take your time and start by stripping the bike down and giving it a good detail. Then put it all back together.
By the time that's done, you'll be itching for a ride.
Cheers,
Pete.
P.S. Good to see that the accident didn't effect your typing...!

Sorry to hear about your off Alicia, and your injuries. I hope both you and the bike heal up soon. Do you have insurance? Did the car driver stop? Does he have insurance?
As everyone else is saying, get back on the bike ASAP, start with short rides, ie down the shops, and then build up to longer ones.
I was wondering where you had got to....
