Just wondering if anyone has fitted an Ivans jet kit. Here is a dyno run for a 2000 zx6r.

Ive never had an Ivans jetkit, but I know people who have and every 2nd ZRX in the states has an Ivans Jet kit. He has a good reputation and does a lot of R&D to make it simple for people to set up their carbs.

Check out http://www.zrxoa.org and do a search on Ivans jet kits

Yep - I had Ivans ZRX1200 kit in my last Rex and have one to go in my current Rex... once the new zorst arrives.

Ivans kits are simple and no harder or easier to fit than any other kit. The big difference is that you can ring him in the US and he has this uncanny ability to solve problems from the other side of the world. HE IS GOD.

From my experience they make things a bit rich in the low to mid range - and fuel consumption is knocked about a bit.

Altogether - the kits score a 10 out of 10 in my book.

Ironically I ordered a Factory Pro kit from Starcycles in the states today. It cost me $167 AUD to my door. My bike has a K&N and a yoshi 4-2-1. I PM'ed Ivan on kawiforums and he said his kit will work but it was designed for 4-1 style headers and a std filter. The Factory Pro kit comes with multiple jets and guidlines to get you started along the lines of, if you have a std bike use this and if you have a pipe then use this and if you have a full system use this etc. Marc at Factory Pro has been very helpful and didn't seem to mind me picking his brain. It'll be here in a week and a half so I'll see how I go.

I think that by following the "instructions", you should get a pretty noticeable improvement in performance.
Ivan doesn't recomment K&N's with his "non pods" jet kits..... apparently the K&N's flow characteristics can cause a lean air/fuel ratio at varying rates of flow !!! So.... he sticks with the OEM filter.
I think that the real reason is so that the number of jets (main & pilot) required in each kit, is reduced. That makes the kit cheaper to buy and simpler to fit.
Factory Pro have a good name - and you got a good buy. The support service is valuable.
