Written test only in NSW.

Back in the good old days, a suspension meant that you got the licence back after the time period specified.
A cancellation meant that you had to sit the whole thing again.
Things may have changed since my licence was suspended in 1989!
Cheers,
Pete

in SA they knock u back a grade... or at least thats wot there trying to pass...
are u on full licence or P's?
if it a full licence, then ussually u just rock up and pay the fee and get a licence (no test reqd)..if its P's they may make u do the P test again, or they may impose longer P's conditions..like 3 years...
this is SA tho..

I'd suggest it would be your P's as that was what you had at the time of the office... depends on what you did, you could just be facing 1 month suspension or 3 months.
You'd just have to wait and see, obviously it would be a little while before it was suspended at all so you could get away with it just being against your full license and 12 points you have on it.. Just don't get any more fines.. I'v eheard of a few people facing what you could be, and then to top it off they've had 1 or 2 fines afterwards which just made it hell.

In NSW now you can sit for your drivers theory test in 18 different languages and you don't even have to be able to read and write as you can someone read out the questions for you and record the answers. Yes you can sit if you are deaf or colour blind. Unfortunately common sense and motorcycle awareness are not prerequisites....go figure

aaaaahhhhhh, sorry, now i understand.
In a completely unrelated and not necessarily true story, i recently heard of people selling points on ebay.
BTW che, come on mate.....how would you feel if you were deaf, half blind, colour blind, and could not read english street signs, and they were the only reasons you were not allowed to get your licence. We have to be fair to everyone you know......otherwise we might get sued for discrimination.
Then again, you could always get you're Taxi Licence

Is that true ? That's gold as I would be sharing the road with ppl who can't read STOP or GIVE WAY in NSW

As you licence is now full, it applies to that one - as long as you've paid for it and have it in your hot little hand. They can't drop you back
But suspended is suspended. You might have to just pay a fee again like the $35.. I think...
You should be able to just call up VicRoads and ask them on their general line.
