Post by tmc »

Hi guys,

just thought id drop back in and see if i can remember any names or faces.

(to be honest, while trying to track down a good local mechanic i found this place again! - having my previous mechanic dissapear off the face of the earth...)

its been almost 2 years since i was here last!!

i cannot believe its been so long.

ive still got the same ride. 2002 ZX7R with a few changes and still more in the pipeline.

In the 2 years that passed, ive bought a car, wrote it off (4x4ing accident), bought a house (deposite thanks to the car), just got a dog... wished for a zx10r for the road so i can finally make the 7 the track bike it really wonts to be :) .... time has really flown by.

Anyways, the 7 hasnt been out much in the last year or so, so im really keen to get back on the road. Anytime anyone in the melbourne area is keen for a ride let me know.

Travis.

Even better, pop over to turn one at Phillip Island and say high!

Lainie,

If you go over to Dave's right now, you'll see my 7 in his garage for some new fork seals!

(I saw your recomendation to him here last week while i was searching around for info on good mechanics)

AND he is about 2 minutes from my place... and i didnt even know he was there.

We talked turbos for about 5 minutes until he said he wouldnt do a 1 off for a carbie'd bike :(

More then likely ill be doing the 7/9 engine swap this year myself.

..........................

Thanks everyone for the walm welcoming, i look forward to getting out on the road with everyone again.

Cool,

make sure you check out my 7 :)

Once ive got it back from Pete, we'll have to get out for a ride.

Given you live near me, ive noticed these 2 guys lately that are CRAZY fast riders going passed my place. Not sure what bikes, 1000's for sure. The seem to like doing mono's and smoking up the back end while riding around roundabouts etc... you havent seen them about have you?

(edited to add - generally around 1-2am!!! you'll hear em a mile away)
