I know this because I caught up to one, a Dyna with a 2-1 pipe and who knows what other mild mods (motor looked stock; no big carby or twin filters hanging out the side), just on approach to the Shell servo at Sutton Forest on my way to Sydney yesterday (it was raining and late in the afternoon, or I would've gone my usual way; down the Clyde and up the coast to Nowra, then Kangaroo Valley, Mac Pass and RNP). He was weaving through traffic at about 140-150 before he caught sight of me on the ZX9 in his mirrors, then he wicked it up to 170, with bursts of just over 200 in places... for the next 50-odd km, until he turned off to MIttagong. I gave it a bit extra to pull up alongside before the offramp veered too far and gave the Devil's-horns salute with my left hand. He retalliated in kind, with a big shit-eating grin distorting the pirate's moustache and beard under his goggles.

Top fun, and another demonstration of something I've been noticing for years now. Staunch Harley dudes do appreciate speed and going sick, whatever shape or seating position it comes in, and they tend to be a lot less uptight about it than sportsbike guys.

Yet again, the cardinal rule... doesn't matter what you ride, so long as you ride it like a fucking idiot.

hmmm, my dads dyna only dit about 165, 2 up.

but it was the 1340, the new 1450 goes much better.

his huuuge electra glide does 170 pretty well.

Staunch being the operative word I-K!!!!! Over the years, i have seen a few said Staunch Harley Riders caning christ outta there potatoe factories on freeways. Don't see them much in the twisties but!

I once encounter a fastly-ridden harlay on Reefton. Coming from opposite direction on a bend the footpeg (board?) was hitting the asphalt and made really loud scratching metal sound. That would be fun
