K5 Z750 with K5 1000 Gixxer front end!
Well its finally done........ The front end project is finished ... now for that rear end!
The first ride today was ....WOW what a difference, she just soaks up the bumps compared to the dreded Z pogo... & the radial brakes are fantastic after spending considerable time with the bike on the bench waiting for the axel to be machiened I had plenty of time to extracate every single air bubble from the brake system... running motul race spec fluid she stops on a dime..... cant wait till the pads bed in they will be even better

With my conversion I looked at the cost of the 07 Zed 750 a few grand after trade in & the cost of the conversion ...bout $1200 all up + the fact that the USD forks on the 07 zed are bottom of the barrel (gixxer 1000 USD forks are right up there) I think at the end of the day the conversion is a good investment

This is a bike I want to keep..... + the 07 Zed looks...well not my cuppa.

Left all the same except for fresh fork oil... will see how it goes before doing anything else. .... dave & I were talking about it the other day & without looking it up the weight should be about the same? but at the mement I am going to enjoy & make changes later.rocketrod wrote:It came up a treat Rob.Did you have to muck around with the gixxer fork internals or was it pretty much spot on as is?????
