While I was out in the garage that night the only sound to be heard was a bike running back and forth "practising" clutch up monos. They obviously need "practise" because they were having 3 or 4 attempts every time. They were running it out through 3 or 4 gears too, so the speeds would have been pretty stupid. I was out there for 2 hours and they were going the whole time.
I guess its not too hard to assume it was the same guy.

I go past the spot every day and this morning I looked for it.
He took out a metal light pole , a big fooker too, and there's now a witches hat covering the hole where it was and a heap of flowers under and around it .
Its on the medium strip opposite the DeerPark shops on the western highway

Paper said it happened around 11:50pm, thats about the time I was finishing up in the garage, I'd say its beyond probable that it was the same guy I heard. It was a warm night too so knowing what most people wear on bikes around here it probably wasn't much. The ambo station is only 300 metres away, so if they were home I'd be suprised if there was much they could do.

Got a call from my mum that day making sure it wasn't me, as she just saw a green bike on TV. Was wondering if anyone else knew about it.

Heard all the stories at work tonight. Apparently he was doing considerable[\b] speed at the time. Had already low sided it by the time he got to the pole, which sliced the lowers of his legs off. Was still coughing and spluttering when the ambos arived a few mins later but after a few minutes the tempo of their work slowed significantly.
Bike was a '98ish 6.

i seen it happen a few years back at the krusty demons after party at the club i was bouncing at.
Some bloke had a dirt bike riding up and down the street popping mono's and being stupid.
The guy came off and a bus stop pole split him in half. We ran over called the ambo's (i felt like hurling) but he died shortly
