Melbourne bus cuts off bikes, bikes surround bus front and rear, bus runs over unmanned bike in front, bike catches on fire, riders break into bus beat up bus driver, riders put out fire, bus driver in hospital, police question rider,
who will end up being in the right? For full item check ninemsn news.

Riders charged bus driver gets off - Odds on unbackable
Bus driver gets charged riders get off - 1,000,000 - 1
Bus driver gets charged wil equal offences to riders - 1,000,000 - 1
Increased Victorian policing of motorcycles - Odds on unbackable

My only comment is thay should have left him alone after running over the bike the driver would/should have gone a row, however now it will be BIKIES V POOR OLD BUS DRIVER, media emphasis on the bikies whether they are or not.

A Bus driver has been bashed and a motorcycle destroyed in a bizarre road rage incident in inner suburban Melbourne.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said a National Bus Company bus driver accidentally cut off two motorcyclists near the intersection of City Road and Market Street shortly before 11pm (AEDT) yesterday.

In retaliation, the motorcyclists closed in on the bus at a red light, she said.

One parked his bike in front of the bus and got off it.

The bus driver drove his bus forward over the parked motorbike, dragging the riderless bike for several hundred metres.

When the bus stopped again, one of the riders smashed its door and windscreen and assaulted the driver, the spokeswoman said.

The damaged motorcycle caught fire, but one of the riders put it out with a fire extinguisher from a nearby service station.

Three passengers aboard the bus were not injured and were transferred to another bus.

Police arrested one of the motorcyclists and were questioning him, while his companion was released pending further inquiries.

The bus driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries and could face driving charges.
If you ask me most people would do the same, are you going to sit in your bus and wait to be bashed?

rider should have the book thrown at him.

Look at the large ammounts every year of cabbies bashed for no reason than for asking for payment, or the person wanting the poor buggers cash.

These people live in fear of this kinda shit.

We've all been cut off in traffic before, we expect it, it's no reason to attempt to stop a vehicle and put the driver in hospital. Besides, aren't you supposed to give way to buses?

The bus ran over the bike and dragged it for 150 meters.

I'd say the driver gets what he deserved.

Andy.

If you were stuck in a bus with passengers. Didnt see a bike, and made a honest mistake. Then had a bike park infront of the bus and threaten you

What would you do? just sit there and get the crap beaten out of you?

Or try and get away

Yeah right

Bloke hops off his bike and starts walking to the bus and leaves the bike intentionally in the way of the bus so it cant move out of the way

And they're just looking for an apology?

I didn't see anything about them threatening the driver, and they didn't touch him untill after he ran over the bike, maybe they were just trying to stop him going anywhere till the cops arrived ???

FUckers. Bus drivers are simply trying to earn a living to feed their families. They have a hard enough time as it is with inconsiderate drivers cutting them off, parking in bus lanes etc.

I hope these fuckwits get what they deserve.
