Rude riders

I don't come across rude riders often, but I want to have a whinge about this guy on a yellow 600 Daytona on my way home this evening...
As often happens, you pull up alongside the same bike a number of times if you're both going in the same direction and have to stop at lights, etc.
Anyway, this guy - who would have been in his mid 40s - wouldn't acknowledge that a fellow rider was next to him, despite the fact that we stopped next to each other about 4 times and I would look over to say hello!
The last straw was when he was stopped in the right lane and I was in the left, the lights changed and he proceeded to take off and veer straight into my lane!

I swerved, kicked the bike up a gear and took off and left him way behind...
What is it with some people?? Bike riders are usually such a friendly lot

Wear your low cut bike jacket Col, that will get you all the attention you could desire

Seriously, maybe he was a pom, British bike after all and they're a snobby lot sometimes, cept the Kwaka riding poms of course....

I wasn't looking for attention mate, just the usual form of respect between riders that I take for granted...

Geez Col, you just can't pick 'em can ya? I've noticed that most riders will acknowledge me on the road, except Harley riders

- but every now and then you get one who just 'can't' see you.

I have "occassionally" even had the nod from Hardly riders, it is bloody rare though. Fwiw the nod is not as prevalent as it used to be I don't reckon, all the newbies on scooters perhaps that think they ride Hardly's too?

dude was a prick.
he was probably too pre occupied thinking about cock.
iits the rules that if you pull up at the lights and there is a bike next to you - you have to talk to them. im pretty sure that rule is written in the bible or something.

sounds like he is a newbie on a bike ? just doesn't understand the Bikers Creed.........
These days, I am more of a 'nodee', than a 'nodder'..........only nod back if a nod is given in the first place..........
shit, back in the old days, other bikers would wave madly like they had known you their whole life !! not any more......

Thats messed up Col at least you made him see nothing but your back end...
One thing i miss about riding at the moment is the friendlyness of other riders, i was always a nodder or raise 2 fingers in a hello gesture...
