Well after giving my old open bike trailer away I thought I wouldn,t need
one again but I was wrong.
It may be a week or more before I get a chance to do anything else as I'm not rushing in to it.
this mornings effort after starting with only a pile of metal

A 3 bike open trailer Its got an extended drawbar so may even add a fourth mini bike channel as well
as a toolbox.
Still alot to do before its finished

Cool, it should look good when its finished. A couple of jerry-can holders down the side, coupla mudguards, it won't take long at all mate !
Not sure if you have seen this - on a bike-trailer I did many years ago, I welded sections of concrete reinforcing mesh between the channels - the stuff that is about 5mm cross-section, 90mm x 45mm *squares* . It is pretty light, but strong enough to walk on, and you can tie shit down anywhere you like, the whole bed (apart from the U-channels) is a grid of tie-down points. I used this instead of the ali checkerplate that most trailer builders use (because it was free......

)

i'd suggest adding provision for putting sides on it as well so you can put things in there and use webbing and hold them down.
Also useful for taking crap to the tip too.
