Went to pick up a new clutch\battery\clip on(had a small off on the weekend...already :() on Monday and asked about frame sliders...apparently they're not made for ZX7R's
I thought this total crap so i did a quick search on the net and found a few suppliers. Most require fairing mods which doesnt bother me as much as respraying them(assuming ifall off again).
Anyone have any experience with the different brands of frame sliders for ZX7R's?

Hey Adam its good to see you finally converted to the green side :P

Just looking through a recent thread posted by one the suppliers for this site:

Apparently genuine crash's are not made for the zx7 but you should be able to get imitations ones which might not be as good in the event of an off.

I know kdd on weekendriders custom makes them himself, fairing cut and non fairing cut styles. See if you can get into contact with him, I tried to get some for the 10 a while ago but he never got around to it.

Thanks for the replies.

Any thoughts as to which brands to look for and which to avoid? Or are they much of a muchness?

Heya,

the best sliders out there are from R&G racing.

I got a set in for under $200 if i remember right.

Ill try and get some pics up of mine when i was installing them.

If you are not mechanically inclined, id suggest you get a good mate to help who is, otherwise you might not be happy with the results.

Follow the tips listed in the link from this thread, and give me a shout if you need anything clarified.

Travis.
