just an enquiry i'm putting to the pommies (and any europeans) in this group -

the missus and i are off to europe in june for 4 weeks and a bit - the plan is to see mugello GP, catalunya GP, donington park and assen GP's respectively.

ticketwise, mugello is just about sorted, working on catalunya and assen.

donington park - i'd like to know from you english folks, where's a good place to sit at the track? like grandstands, or on the field and which corner?

does anybody else know about assen/catalunya?

and any online ticket agencies that deal with most if not all the GP races?

so far i've got http://www.gpticketshop.com which has reasonable prices compared to a few other websites which seem to charge a king's ransom to sit down and watch a bunch of bikes zooming by..

any info would be great

thanks in advance

ps i wasnt sure if this thread should be in track days/racing or kawasaki racing development something or other so i just put it up in here..

Donington Park - Favourite viewing point for me would have to be the old haipin, see 'em coming down craner (downhill esses, off camber) then a sharp right at the bottom of the hill.

Ask a few Q's here too....anuvver bunch of Kwak nutters

Assen info here, can't help with where to view as it has undergone major alterations since I was there and "my" corner no longer exists

oh dont you worry mick - it's well and truly going to happen, all the flights have been booked as of november last year, the missus is taking care of the accomm side of things while i look after the tickets for the races.. and yes, i'll post pics up when we go over - thinking maybe i'll give the net a miss for a whole month (shit that'll be hard!) nah, i'll get on here and there, most probably in the UK at the missus' folks place as she's a pommy herself

Catanlunya: turn 1 is good, I had a chicks ass in my face most of the time, her name was cassandra, the locals are so friendly. I think there is a hill behind the turn before the staight. Then between turns 4 and 9 gives a view down to the track.

Now if you want to see a WRC leg in Europe thats a completley different and simple. You can stand/sit anywhere you want, if your that stupid. Monte-Carlo I was sitting in the ditch on the side of the road on the outside of a hairpin. I just so happened there was no snow that year and it which made it a tarmac rally, so it was safe whilethe pros where on the road, but then the fun starts when the privateers/amateurs go around.

I think I got my tickets through gpticketshop.com

Its the hungarian based gp agent. Was fast and reliable.
