Who's ZX12R gets a new life

Mate of mine is a confirmed Kwacka lover (but not internet user) and after owning and restoring a couple of ZZR1100's over recent years just picked up a 2005 ZX12R at the Vic auctions :D .. crash damaged (of course) but now well on the way back to it's former glory again under his expert spannerin' .

Over home the other day and chatting about stuff over a beer (you guessed it "80 reasons why the ZX12 is a sportsbike NOT a sports tourer" ) he sees my KSRC stubby holder and commented that the ZX12 has the same logo sticker on it

Small world 8) 8) - so presume that it used to belong to someone here and mate was curious about it's history and the nature of the crash. Previous owner was located in Newport apparently, (and is hopefully relatively undamaged too).

So who's was it? Would be interested in any info at all that I can pass along and also knowledge about the "red" key, as mate was only given one black key with it and is paranoid about losing it

Will provide pics in future for anyone interested.

that would be groggles for sure.
very good bike he's got there. and for memory not a hell of a lot of damage.
and no need to worry about him claiming it back.
he has a new zx10r to play with.

Still a work in progress but it is to be returned to its showroom sports-tourer glory.

He's pretty chuffed with it at the moment and all good value too - reckons it'll be right to go for about 8k.

Thanks for the *insights* guys, remind me not to put you guys down as character references.

Underwater monoing burnouts are designated normal use for a Kawasaki, doesn't even affect warranty. Read the break in page of the handbook...
