ok so weve covered this a few times...and ive done a quick search but havent found the info i was after (tho it would be cool if using this new site we can keep this kinda thread listed in a helpful kinda way??)..plus stuff is changing all the time...including our sponsors (which im abt to have a look at)
anyway i want new leathers, its time to do it. Im not gunna be stingy this time (tho i got abt 8yrs out of my cheap Bikers Club gear- if i wasnt so fat id still have it)... so i wanna kno the best deals.... do people still think buying off ebay/net is better?? id much rather buy in a store cos that how i am, but if i can save $100 or so..well..its my $$ isnt it...
also does ne1 have ne serious recomendations?? im thinking in the "up to $1200" price range, tho if i can get gloves in that as well as a deal, that would be tops... here are the mobs im considering...
TigerAngel (emailed them for approx quote)
Collins (around the $900 mark i believe??)
Joe Rocket
Ixon (ne1 have ne reviews??)
Spyke (dunno the price??)
Spidi, Dianese & Alpinestars would all come into consideration if i can find em at those kinda prices...
neway thanks for ne help...

My last leather jacket and boots were bought through a US ebay shop and I highly recommend using this method for a few reasons:
- they have a better selection and size range
- it works out several hundred cheaper
- delivery is quick
Hope this helps..

i got mine thru collins, and it's been alrite as it's my first leather, i don't have much exp. with them at all, but it looks great all my friends said especially with the neck thing on the back too!
but i reckon they are quite cheap, also there's a new brand coming out they are in the same price range, i'll get the name for ya

Mate I have heard nothing but good reviews about Ixon, do the tour, try them on and find your size and then check out the online stores when you know what you want.
another one to consider is a local mob called Traxion their gear looks good, very good actually and they will tailor a one or two piece to fit you for about $700-$900.

Personally, I love Dainese and Joe Rocket I own both and both have survived a crash without a scratch (mustn't be doing it right I figure). The Tiger Angel stuff is the ultimate though and comes highly recommended by those who are fotunate enough to own it.
Ultimately, fit, comfort and peace of mind will win over $$$

Glen did some dealing with Collins leathers, and they seem to be excellent...
i wouldnt go past them for the money.

You could always buy a 2nd race suit for that "bling" factor.
Some even come pre road rashed for extra "street cred"
Ive been told you dont want any exposed seams any where (like the bum) where you will hit in a stack but mine do and they seem to have held up pretty well... just a thought.

if you decide to go alpinestars check out
http://stores.ebay.com/Flyin-Brians-Deals
you will pay about half than here including delivery.
it takes about 4 - 5 days to arrive.
i know we should try to support local business etc but its time local business went back to their distributers and got better prices that they can pass onto us.
If the different in price was like $100 i would buy local but when its $300 saving on a jacket and $200 saving on pants - im buying off ebay.

well after a long discussion about why i need leathers, it has come to my attention to re-think this...
why do i want leathers??
*cant go on tracks without them
*touring
*winter warmth
*hills scratching
however..i dont get to the track as often as i want....i only tour 2-3 times a year, and maybe i can do that in Draggins??....I can always go Hills scratching in Draggins too- as i dont ride that hard on the road... and as a bit of a soft cock, no1 here rides much in winter, so i dont go out if its that cold neway....
so now im 2nd guessing myself..do i get a jacket and draggins?? do i get a cheap shit suit for use 3 times a year...do i wear the bloody suit more often??
bloody hell ...im turning into ratmick...which bike should i buy??
but i really want a nice suit...which fits good, is comfy, looks nice...i wanna be a princess!!
