Not everyday you can take pics of your house with a comet backdrop :D ... I took this Monday. Are you saying this thing is still visible last night ?

Great pics!

We saw it the other night, alas the smoke haze from bushfires up in the Alps is still hanging around and although it makes great sunsets, the haze drowned out the tail...so all we saw was the head as a very bright dot.

I have a telescope in the lounge, I may drag it down to the end of the drive this evening and see what I can see.

Man this shit has been killing me. The best comet in many years, probably the best most of us will see in our lifetimes, and I have had nothing but blocking cloud cover in the west the whole time.

Such crap timing, but I should be used it. A few years ago when the Leonids were really full on, that same night there was a freaking storm up here. I got maybe 5 mins of patchy cover and could see just a hint of the show that I was missing.

But seriously how fucked up is it that all of a sudden there is massive cloud cover in the west THE WHOLE DAMN TIME that this comet has been (apparently) visible? Meh.

It was still visible in the central west on sun night.

In fact the first thing the rels said when we got out of the car was "have you seen the comet yet?"

we went out and had a look a few nights ago and we could see a faint glimpse of the tail and it long as, but couldn't see the actually comet itself. apprently its 300 million k's long
