i gree small cc bikes are made in asian places to save on costs , look at the NSR 150 that was out of the thailand factory but also sold at about $6K on the road

slowly the ZZR has crept up and is now near $9K on the road now thats just wrong

The nsr 150s are very popluar in big asia cities with sml spaces like SGP and HK as few of my friends have them and when it first came out they were all sold out!!

but i just don't understand how a 250cc can cost up to 9k in australia

the new low capacity kawasakis are shit. I would not buy a new gpx250, the build quality is not as good as the old jap ones.

That is very correct. So is the Kawasaki 'KRR150 Kips' which I doubt anyone here will know about.
Doesn't surprise me that they are made in Thailand, I was actually expecting it to happen earlier.

Alot of Toyota and Honda cars are made in Thailand too, and now they are rolling out cars that are made in India.

You could find those Kips in Asia, ex Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam but in very very bad conditions coz they have no replacement parts.

But in Asia a 120cc scooter costs like 2000 USD

No replacement parts? well it depends on where you are, if you are in the remote mountains in Thailand, of course there are no replacement parts.

There's heaps of parts (and aftermarket parts) in Singapore, Malaysia and major cities in Thailand.

Same thing, depends on which part of Asia, bikes in Malaysia cost 3 times more than in Singapore.

Possibly also explains the faulty fuel tank they had in the '05 rodeo's too. mind you i've seen a rodeo that had every panel belted in and damaged beyond belief and the only reason it wasn't written off was the bastards that belted the crap out of it didn't have the presence of mind to smack the crap out of the roof as well.
