well after an incident a few months back, we discovered (whilst doin a service) i had cracked my zorst... so it was decided i'd pull the zorst off and take it to the zorst guru here in SA (Redline Exhuasts at Melrose Park)...
so monday night i decide to take it off, everything is going splendidly..until the last bolt wont budge...its a pissy lil 10mm bolt that u can get a socket onto, has either been over tightened or fused on...so i round the bolt off... doh!!
i have a lil dummy spit and ring Greeny for sum suggestions on how to crack the bolt... and as access to the bolt is difficult, im a little angry (and drunk by this time)...so i consulted my mate Jack...he helped calm me down a touch... but then he left..so i went back to the kitchen to speak with Jimmy... he was very helpful..... he suggested i get out my "persuader" and have a chat with the bolt and let it kno whos boss (me in this case).
so WD40, "persuading" and tools didnt work... so i remebered wot i was once told "never use a cold chisel on ur bike dude"... and being a huge fan of Barnesy i got out the chisel, and i bashed fark out of the bolt with the hammer (cos that wot hammers do best)......
well oil beef hooked..it worked, i cut a groove into the bolt, and managed to undo it... much to my relief....so off it comes..
so tuesday i ring Terry at Redline, drop the zorst off at midday...at 5pm after work its ready to be collected (and he waits til 5.30 so i can pick it up.) and he's one of these guys who works the old way..cash... for $50 my problem is solved..in only a few hrs too...YAY...
gets home and in like 30min if got the bike back together and im riding it...woo farkin hoo!!
all fixed...so if ne1 in SA needs welding/fab of zorsts, hes tha man to see (did a great job of fixing my headers 2 yrs ago when i munched em badly, cheap and he still remembers it!!)....
ok..goin for a ride now...
i love the service u get in Adelaide...
