cheap ass re-spray vs the aerosol

Ok so I've got a small top fairing and a belly-pan that I need painting. It's for a track-bike so it doesn't have to look too pretty although as I can't ride very well, the bike's look needs to count for something :P

Does anyone know roughly how much a paint shop would charge to do it (I live in east Melbourne burbs)?

My other option is to go for my best guess on a color match and grab some aerosol cans instead.

I know its not what your dealing with as its to do with fixing cracks first then spraying, but still, principles apply.
Heres how i fixed my old bikes front mudguard.

part two, this is more relevant to you. I used this as a guide on how to spraypaint my fairings.

nothin wrong with summernats in a spraycan as long as the prep is good. :D

bingo, half the work was prepping the fuggin thing. Thats why i redid the prepwork & painting about 3 times until i got it right.

Dan if you have a compressor and gun 4l great, at least if you bin it you can get some practice painting and repairs. Other wise summernats in a can, just the prep( ) very painful.
