ok one of my mates from perth is attempting a trip from qld to perth.
he is stuck in melbourne. will find out exact details soon.
he is on a red i think, honda vfr. he bike has basically shat itself.
last complaint i heard was the regulartor had packed it in.
basically the bike went completely dead while riding.
now i am asking a huge favour of you melbourne crew.
would one of you be able to help him, with decent bike shops and possible moving the bike to the shop.
please dont whore this thread till it is sorted..
thankyou so much guys and girls..

I'm not in Melbourne, but I know Gosford Motorcycles have a great reputation for doing after-market reg/rec's for VFR's. I'm sure they'd be happy to send one to Melbourne for you mate (02 4323 3599)

so its not creating enuf charge at revs??
thats not alternator surely....if the alt is stuffed, it doesnt give u bugger all charge... sounds like the voltage reg is stuffed and cooking the battery..u sure he changed the REGULATOR and not the RECTIFIER (2 different parts)...
honda regulators are known for shitting themselves (im on number 3)
