stayed at my girlfriends house in marrickville on monday 27th october. parked my cbr954 up against the wall with steering lock on within earshot of the room where i was sleeping. awoke at 5am to go to work and alas no sign of the fireblade. i only had 3rd party insurance on it as i was waiting for a payrise before i could afford to fully insure it. so there there you go. ill spend the next year paying off something i dont have. wonderfull and thanks to the bastard/s that took it.

If your lucky they will sell it in one piece to some unspecting idiot, who will then hoon it around and get caught speeding... the police will run a rego check and it will show up either A) Belonging to another vehicle or B) Stolen... and you will get your bike back...... Thats what happened to me....

By the way, since my CBR got stolen I cannot sleep properly unless I know my bike is secure (as in, inside, alarm on)

police rang me on monday afternoon. they found my fireblade. unriden missing number plates and a vin plate.
stoked to get it back but got it all checked out and some small damage done by the theives fixed and it cost me $700.
anyone have any idea if i can get compensated for this?

nope - i wouldnt put money on you getting any compensation, not unless you had the thieves strung up by the balls and dangling over a very very high cliff...
