The news people say all the koala's are going to die
How sad!
It was very very very smokey here this morning - driving the back roads between lavo and werribee it was just all smokey and yuck.
Driving next to our new estate and we couldnt even see it - so we went in just to check my house is still there. It was so its ok! But the koalas, not so ok!

Smoky as all shit up here, can't see jack-shit. We've got the fire pump out, and I just spent $280 on another 40m of 25mm washdown hose (plus another $60-odd on fittings). I've now got enough hose and enough HP in the pump to use two hoses at once...
...pity I've got no bloody water

.
The water is on order, things are a bit dry up here and the guy with the tanker is a bit busy

Is pretty bad, am glad i'm not a particulary bad asthmatic. Just hope the fierys come through ok, think we should all be bloody thankful for the volunters out there fighting these things.
Good luck in Macedon Mick, hope it's not another Ash Wednesday.
