travels & mishaps

Went on a jaunt in the country last week.
Headed off at 9.30 after promising myself I'd start at 6am. Pfft ...
Got as far as Kings Way & the clutch cable broke

Thought my camping trip was not going to happen but Brighton Kwaka came to the rescue. Mick was coming back through the city on his new ZX10 & let me ride it back to his shop while he rode Tabitha (tough name huh?) however you do it without gears. Poor bugger had to do a bit of stunt riding to run along next to it to start it & then somersault on to the seat over the top of my tent, sleeping mat, sleeping bag & giant bag of make up & stuff, plus of course some more stuff. Anyway at 1 in the afternoon I was back on the road & had decided to go straight up the boring Hume to save time to get to Myrtleford. Hot!!!! ffs ... had to stop & pour bottles of water down my jacket every half an hour to keep going.
So I had a nice trip away except for dropping Tabitha on a mean rocky dirt road

very sad, very sad ... some scratches & a cracked fairing & then riding the road from Whitfield pub with a bug inside my visor & another one which crawled down the inside of my jacket into my top into my bra & proceeded to bite the hell out of me. I did a good war dance when I finally got off the bike.
Well anyway I'm back & sort of got the computer happening again.
Very sorry to hear about Wendy.

Apart from all that other stuff it's great to be able to take all that camping gear& get out into the country. When it's not so filthy dry up there it's a beautiful part of Victoria to wander around. I wouldn't recommend anyone going anywhere up that way this weekend. Just hang around home. The bush will be scary. I thought it looked the worst I've ever seen it last week.

I thought all of you red blooded guys would have more problem comprehending the wet t-shirt competition that gig was having, rather than the bug crawling into her bra!
