hehehe! Name a section of raod, and I could probably tell you which part of the lane to be in to avoid the bumps!!!! Me and the interstate truckies are on a first name basis now!!!

OK if you are travelling with kids, allow extra time for stops! But when I do it in a tin top, it takes 8 1/2 hours door to door Newport to Parramatta.

That is taking it really easy in Vic, and sitting 10+ in NSW with one fuel and two other loo stops!

It's 853 klms all up Andi.

If you are taking the family, I would reccommend what we are doing, and take the coast road. Down through Gippsland Lakes Entrance, and up into the south coast of NSW. It takes 10 hours this way. But it's much more picturesque and a more interesting drive.

It's not so bad then...

That coastal route sounds nice but when I looked at the map the lines are wiggly (good on bike but not in a civic with 2 toddlers )

Are they tight twisties or nice long sweepers ? Sweepers hopefully!

Along the coast is fine in a tin top. Not like reefton or the black. More like lavers Hill! There are a couple of tight turns, but not for long enough to worry the kids. Unless you drive like Schumaker! Somehow, in a civc...i doubt it!!!

Great ! Lavers hill = good :D

Think I will take that route then, wake up time permitting  But otherwise will take it on our way back to melbourne.
