Near miss

Totally my fault and still kicking myself over it.

Crossing montague st. sth melbourne, 4 lanes. Very busy, very hot day. There were cars giving way lane 1-3 and totally did not see the car on the 4th. late. Screeching car tyre as I went pass and missed by 50cm or so .. barely saw the nose white sedan on the corner of my eye. Owed one for good reaction of the driver.

After years of riding I just can't accept I stupidly put myself into that situation. If that thing hit, it would be a loss of left leg at worse/death if I was dragged under it

Trundling along st kilda then witnessed another near miss between a ute and sedan just one car ahead. Smoking tyres etc.

Then riding through nepean where a girl on some big old honda had problems starting the engine, maybe overheat (by this time my led indicator also lit but not blinking-yet). Helped her start the bike and made me feel a bit better too.

be careful/patient out there...

Falling asleep on the bike??
Someone should take your ticket away - loony!

If your so tired - dont ride! If you have been drinking dont ride.
Simple!

Close call by the sound of it. Things like this realy wake you up and make you think twice about what you are doing on the road. Glad to hear you are ok though.

Tell me how careful are you riding now

Glad you're OK, Andi. As we all know, sometimes it's only a hair's breadth between avoiding an accident and having one :?

Andy, sorry for this but I had to do it

Hi Andy, Everyone, this is Andy, He _NEARLY_ had a accident that was his fault for not looking, and is quite upset he got himself in that position.

Andy, Harden the fuck up!!!

Where did you wake up Mick????? I did that trick a few years back. It's a bit freaky when you wake up and 1. realise what you have just done and 2. realise where you are!!!!
