All right all you bike riders out there!!!!! I've had just about fcuking enough!!!!
A few rides ago we loose two in the space of 20klms!!! Then we read of a few others in here who have binned it. Then last night another mate tells me he was taken out!!!! Then I read in the paper, that out of the ten deaths since 5.30pm on Friday, 6 of them involved motorcycles, and 5 dead riders!!!!!!!!
Just fcuking STOP IT RIGHT NOW. the lot of ya's!!!!!!! That's enough!!!!!!!
Stop hitting fecking cars, stop running into each other, stop losing concentration when riding slow, stop hitting fcuking animals and or blaming the poor sods, stop losing confidence in your tyres and crank the fcuker over rather than taking the panic methos and standing it up on the brakes and running wide!!!!!!!!! (You're only gunna crash at a slower speed rather than not crash OK!!!!!!) and stop locking front brakes on the dirt and falling over!!!!!!!!!
OK, that's what not to do!!!!! Here is what to do!
1.Take it easy this time of year, the tin toppers are in holiday mode-(Oh gee honey look at that pretty mountain over there.....oops, what was that we just ran over?)
2. Take it easy this time of year, the tin toppers are in holiday mode-(Oh gee honey, we should have turned left just there-ooops, was that a stop sign?)
3. Take it easy this time of year, the tin toppers are in holiday mode-(Honey, will you pass a biscuit to little mary to stop her screaming-oops, was that a red light?)
4. Take it easy this time of year, summer and warm temps sometimes allow the red mist to descend over the visor. Be cool, know your limits, ride with an extra 10% up your sleeve guys n gals! Otherwise the bastards are gunna hurt ya!

WOW, I guess I am one of those that decided to bin it

UNTIL talking to Dan, Mina and a few others

.... I am a safe rider and true it can happen any time and any place.... NOW I am saying roll out the 2007 ZX6R cause the green one has my name on it.
Stay up right guys and gals and have a safe holiday period

the summer road toll here is Vic
has started as a shocker
11 dead in 2 days is the count (if one includes the unrider)
and that is a pretty bad statistic
as Strika sez..just too many of them involve motorcyclists
so peoples...take it easy out there

That's right, take it easy and ride within your limits. The last thing we need is people in high places handing out more repressive methods to stop us enjoying what we love so much.
Think of all the loved ones that await your safe homecoming, and beware of the tin tops in holiday mode as was described earlier.
If riding on NSW roads, beware of all the road works being undertaken (funny how they start just before the holiday season, no?), loose gravel and bloody idiots mowing there lawns and trying to make it grow on the tar on our beautiful country roads.....
Lions Road, beware of loose cattle, and they're talking of reducing the speed limit on it, enjoy it while you can, SAFELY!!!!

Well said Strika, Take it easier on the roads peoples PLEASE!!
After all whats an extra 10mins on the ride we love so much if it means getting there in one piece over being a bonnet acc. on a tin-top.

Why do you think I take 2 weeks off over Christmas? It's the supidest time of the year for people on the road, and no one on a bike is safe. Not even those on big white bikes with red and blue lights!

agree 1000% here - the worst tyres you can buy are better then the abilities of 95% of *most* riders, not panicking is the best advice of all.
so many deaths already

what a shitty start to the season...

Strika no disrespect but not all of this shit can be blamed on drivers
Not long ago someone was pushed off the road and died due to bikes on the spur
How many can say they don't speed, or race up and around on a ride
Not many
And yes car drivers might not be on the ball but when someone is coming round you at the speed most bikes do then I can see why there are accidents
all i can say is try and ride safe guys
i would say keep the black side down .... but mines all black

devil's advocate-
the bike sales have gone through the roof of late.... "i know how to beat the petrol rises"
more and more people (i know a few of them) are getting back on to bikes for the first time in decades (if not, longer) and they opt for a 1000cc (if not, larger) cuz they can afford it..... "back in my day I rode a 750, surely the new 1000 is a good step up"
let the idiots die. if they don't do it this way, they'd find another way. we'll just have to cop more restrictive laws and regs and and and....
what can you do? look out for numero uno? hard, when everyone else is out to get you..... ride like that.

One of the other reasons for the sad statistics this time of year is the summer riders, who take 4-6 months off the bike, jump back on and don't expect their skills to be rusty. This includes us commuters who ride every day, but don't head for the twisties in the colder, wetter months.
You will be rusty, you will need to learn where the bike does what again, and you will instinctivly grab shed loads of front brake when the shit hits the radiator fan. If you want to go 10/10ths head for the track - I did, it was fun (OK I didn't quite manage 10/10ths), it's not a good idea on the road. Learn to repeat in you head as you enter every corner "Get of the farkin' brakes" - it always works.

Nah mate i read the lot
most Riders seem to think there great riders
the famous last words are normally "but we've ridden that road a thousand times" or i never thought it would happen to him
mate each to their own
ride how you like
but don't Gee up others .......... impressing mates seems to kill alot of riders
