Looking at taking a break from the rat race? Want to experience something different? How about taking a few days off and heading for the Far North Coast for a well-earned rest? Frozzie has just what you need, come and stay in the cottage and wander around the property, you’ll be in another world!

The cottage

The charming cottage is in a studio layout, which can accommodate 2 to 4 people, a patio where you can enjoy breakfast, separate shower and toilet, tea and coffee making facilities, air conditioning, we also have BBQ facility, all this in an amazing surrounding.

We’re nestled in the Whian Whian State Forrest, not far from Lismore (30 mins), our property is set on 10 acres of wonderfully lush rainforest. Minyon Falls is 15 minutes away, and there are a few swimming holes around too.

The setting is splendid; we have a whole lot of native wildlife that roams around: Koalas, wallabies and even a family of quite rare native cats. There are plenty of birds and the garden is filled with flowers that will amaze you, a real feast for the eyes. You can take a walk in our feature gardens and private rainforest, very relaxing

All the surrounding area has great bike roads and Frozzie will be more than happy to lead you on the best rides and even come with you if he can (any excuses for a great ride!).

Pricing is from $120 a night per couple in mid season, and $135 a night per couple between 21 December and 1st February this summer! For that price you get a continental breakfast, all bed linen and towels are provided.

The shower

You can dine out or we can provide dinner that you can share with us or have in the privacy of the cottage, it’ll cost $30 per person for a 3 course meal, vegetarian meals available but we don’t do vegan, being French, we love our food too much!

So, if you’re looking at taking it easy, or enjoy some of the many activities available around here (great mountain biking tracks!), don’t hesitate and send Frozzie a pm to book your dates and experience our hospitality.

No pets, but we gladly accept children and we also have a baby cot available too.

Wish it was that close, would not be working everyday then! We're about half a day's ride (3-4 hours depending on how you ride), but there are great roads to come up here, Thunderbolt's and Bucketts Way just to name a couple!

We're a bit further North, not far from Byron Bay, right in the middle of Hippie country as some would say! W'ere about 2 1/2 hours from Brisbane, the fast boring way! If you take the Lions Road, you can count a good 3 hours ride!

When I go down to Sydney and can take a couple of days for the trip, I make the Oxley a must do! I've done the trip up or down to Sydney in a day, a little buggered on arrival although when I got my new Arai helmet, only the bum was the sorest on arrival, the neck was fine!

Believe me, it's even more fantastic when you see it with your own eyes. When we visited the place we just said to ourselves: "we just have to have it! Its over our budget but we'll pull through!" Hence the need to put up the B&B!

In March, at those dates, it'll be low season, so $110 a night, $200 for a couple of nights. If you're serious about booking those dates, send me a pm and we can sort things out. We've put the B&B on a few travel websites and are getting a few enquiries already, so it's a case of first in best dressed!

Oh, and after a hard days riding, you can book a masseur, he'll come out this way and fix you up, there are a few around here!

Will be posting a few more pics when I have the chance to take and resize them. So much to do and so little time.....

I think that would be the reason he'd come around

My wife wasn't too keen on me getting the services of a Thai masseuse

You lucky, lucky, lucky bastard Frozzie!!! :D It struck a chord with me when I heard the name Minyon Falls!!! I thought, that's just right next door to Goonengerry and Federal!!!! :)

I used to have a half share in a property up at Goonengerry. What a magical place. I hope your property is like the one we had. You need a paved driveway, or snow chains when it's wet to get up the driveway. At the top of the mountain is a Kiwi Fruit orchard which has been left to grow wild. In addition to that are the Mango's which grow like weeds everywhere, and Banana and Paw Paw, and we rarely needed to visit the fruit shop!!!

We had our shower outside the house, and had a floor to ceiling smoked glass wall that looked out and down the hill towards Byron. You could just see the lighthouse. It was rather surreal, standing under the shower, watching wallabies and KOALAS 100 foot from you while you showered.

Federal had a nice Cafe/Restaurant too when I was up there. Is it still there? The one on the corner?

Anyhoo, for anyone that hasn't been up that way, Frozzies descriptions are quite conservative. The place is just amazing. You will see stuff you have never seen before every time you go walking/riding.

Yes we are lucky and we do know it! We're not far from Goonengerry and Federal, but unlike the property you had a share in (I'm guessing MO), we don't have views to the ocean, we are nestled right in the middle of teh State Forest, which means that it can't be built out as so many places around the area! :D We're about 30 to 40 minutes to Byron, so easy access to the surf!

BTW, the cottage also has an outside shower, with view on some very nice trees and their inhabitants!

Yes, Federal still has a nice coffee place, not on a corner, but close to one. Great coffee and cakes there!

Yes I was quite conservative about what there is to see and do in the area, but if I start, it would be quite a few pages long, and that would be for the property alone!

There isn't much flat ground to put a tent up I'm affraid. Got a bit of grass patch at the top of the property, but it's on a bit of a slope and apart from a tap for watering the top gardens, there isn't any ammenities (not sure of the spelling here!).

The patio can be transformed as a sleep out during the warm months (on demand), so that the 4 sleeping beauties don't have to share the same room!

We've only just opened up, so the price is low. We will be adding a few things in the cottage (TV + DVD) and surroundings, if all works out how we would like it to. I've had people say they'd pay up to $250 for the night, but we're not that greedy!

You'd be giving yourself a treat by coming over, it's really out of this world here, the previous owners did a magnificent job on the property!

Thanks for all the heads up guys, we do hope it all goes well, and it'd be fun to finally put some faces to some of the names on here, do come along!!!!

Celine's cooking is great to, it's worth booking just for that!

That reminds me of an Oz olympics Joke. When they were on in Sydney, I bought home some "Olympics Condoms" One gold, one siler, one bronze!!!

I said to my wife, do you want me to put the Gold one on tonight! She replied......why don't you use the silver one, and come second for a change!!!!!! boom Tish!
