Well guys had another day in court today, but its nearly all over :D
Home detention starts on the 1st of Feb next year, alot of you are probably thinking why so far away, but thats the way i want it so i can still work the busy time at my club and also be a free man over xmas...

Another good thing is that they have backdated the time of my licence suspension, so its 2yrs loss of licence from July this year...

Anyway i just want to thank everyone who helped me through this crap espeacially Dave#3, Cath & Colette you guys helped me alot :)

Thanks guys :)

No, I, for, one, am thinking how in the name of arse did you end up with a two-year suspension and home detention for what has been demonstrated to be an impossible offence...

With a licence suspension for that length of time, mate I would be looking to buy a cheap little RD250LC, and go Club racing for a couple of years. Its not *that* expensive at all, you can get most of the stuff you need second-hand, and club racers look after each other at the track.

Something to consider anyway ? maybe ??

arsehat magistrate not taking the evidence in front of him as "well your not guilty of that specific offence, next" he was more along the lines of "you cant have done the claimed speed, but you were capable of 1xxkm/h so you were still exceeding by 45km/h at least.

lovely interpretation of the law i thought, not.

Gotta say I agree with I-K here, I reckon you've had your prostrate check done minus lube and with a baseball bat rather than a finger, ie severely done over!!!

Thanks for the comments guys im pretty happy with the outcome as it beats looking through bars and with the licence suspension ive pretty much already done 6 months of it and that has gone pretty quick so the next 18 wont be to bad plus it will give me time to save money for a new ride :)

Penalty applies from date of offence(standard practice i thought).

To get home detention perhaps you have a history the judge didn't like(?)....i'm only guessing because the home detention part seems pretty stiff imho. :?
